The Falls of Bruar near Blair Atholl in Northern Perthshire Scotland.
We walked out onto the hills above Blair Atholl for a couple of days, we walked up past the Falls of Bruar which are easy to access from the House of Bruar, just off the A9 between Aviemore and Perth, just South of Drumochter Pass. Well worth the short walk up the beautiful Bruar Glen. The river Bruar has crystal clear water and lots of beautiful waterfalls and pools, stunning!
This area is also the historic home of Clan Donnachaidh.
Clan Donnachaidh include Robertson, Reid, Tonnochy, Stark, Duncan, Duncanson, MacConnachie, Inches, Collier, MacInroy, MacDonachie, MacRobert, Donachie, Roy, Roberts, MacInver, MacLaggan. There is a clan Museum at Bruar, which is worth looking at, whether you are a clan member or not.
We can assure you that if you stay at
Lochan Mor Lodge, or
Creag Mhor you will have a very special holiday.
