An Old Scottish Sheeling in the Eastern Cairngorms National Park a Reminder of the Highland Clearances

An Old Scottish Sheeling in the Eastern Cairngorms National Park a Reminder of the Highland Clearances.

Above Glenshee in a secluded valley beside a wee burn we came across this ruined sheeling, evidence of previous habitation in the area. There were the remains of several dwellings in the area, a reminder of how things used to be. A little community used to live here.

Walking in the Cairngorms National Park can provide endless stunning Views. You feel like you are on top of the world strolling along the ridges among the mountain tops. Get out there and enjoy it.

You will find lots to do, walk, climb, cycle, fish, golf, ski, snow board, cultural and family activities. Whisky tours and wild life tours are available, a full spectrum of activities.

We can assure you that if you stay at Lochan Mor Lodge, or Creag Mhor you will have a very special holiday.
