Caledonian Pine Forest just outside Grantown on Spey in the Cairngorms National Park

Caledonian Pine Forest just outside Grantown on Spey in the Cairngorms National Park.

A great place for walking, especially on windy days when it is not so pleasant out on the exposed mountains, you can enjoy the forest and perhaps see capercaillie. We saw one not far from this spot.

Walking in the Cairngorms National Park can provide endless enjoyment. You feel like you are in some place very special strolling along the ridges, through forests, beside burns all among the mountain tops. Get out there and enjoy it.

You will find lots to do in the area around Aviemore, walk, climb, cycle, fish, golf, ski, snow board, cultural and family activities. Whisky tours and wild life tours are available, a full spectrum of activities.

We can assure you that if you stay at Lochan Mor Lodge, or Creag Mhor you will have a very special holiday.

For some great photos of the area and things to do and see visit cairngorms scotland.blogspot and scotland.blogspot
