Scottish Crossbill the Parrot of the Highlands a unique inhabitant of the Scottish Pine Forest

Scottish Crossbill the Parrot of the Highlands a unique inhabitant of the Scottish Pine Forest.

You can find Scottish Crossbill in the Pine Forests of Rothemurchus, Glenmore and Alvie around Aviemore in the Heart of the Cairngorm National Park. I saw several recently in the area around Loch Morlich at the foot of Cairngorm Mountain.

The area around Aviemore is great for Bird Watching with several rare species to be found.

We can assure you that if you stay at Lochan Mor Lodge, or Creag Mhor you will have a very special holiday.

For some great photos of the area and things to do and see visit cairngorms scotland.blogspot and scotland.blogspot
