Scottish Red Deer come in off the Mountains and use this Rubbing Tree to remove paracites

Scottish Red Deer come in off the Mountains and use this Rubbing Tree to remove paracites.

This tree is on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park on Atholl Estate where there are large herds of native Red Deer. The deer come down of the mountains to use this tree to rub. The tree will now die.

Want to spend some time in the area exploring? We can assure you that if you stay at Lochan Mor Lodge, or Creag Mhor you will have a very special holiday.

For some great photos of the area and things to do and see visit cairngorms scotland.blogspot and scotland.blogspot
