Summer bloom on the Cairngorm Plateau in the Scottish Highlands

Summer bloom on the Cairngorm Plateau in the Scottish Highlands.

The harsh mountain habitat of the cairngorm peaks is home to a unique and rare variety of flora and fauna.

Protection of this landscape through having national park status is justified as 39% of the park has been officially designated as important for nature heritage, 25% of these areas being of European importance.

If you would like to explore the Highlands of Scotland, we can assure you that if you stay at Lochan Mor Lodge, or Creag Mhor you will have a very special holiday.

For some great photos of the area and things to do and see visit cairngorms scotland.blogspot and scotland.blogspot
