Cook a Traditional Scottish Clootie Dumpling Fast in this Very Modern Aviemore Kitchen.


Microwave Clootie Dumpling

Ingredients

1 Cup Water
1 Cup Brown Sugar
8oz Soft Margarine
2 tbsp Syrup
2 Cups Sultanas

Put all these ingredients together in a pan and boil for 1 minute, remove from the heat and the add -

2 Cups SR flour
2 Beaten Eggs
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp mixed spice

Mix thoroughly.
Put mixture into a bowl, which has been lined with microwavable cling film and cook in a microwave oven on full power for 10 minutes.

Turn out when cool.

Just like Granny used to make without all the mess and time.
